Yealink T56A is a desk phone which can be bought directly from Telavox. Hardware that is bought directly from Telavox is automatically provisioned towards us, which means that no manual configuration is required. This hardware only needs power and a network connection to work properly with the Telavox telephony (provided it is connected to a user/extension).
Here is a little information about Yealink T56A:
- 7-inch colour display (touch)
- Bluetooth 4.0
- USB-outlet (for headset, storage etc.)
- Android-based operating system (multiple built-in apps and functions)
- English language
- LAN-port
- PoE (Power over Ethernet)
- BLF-support

Reset Yealink
There are two ways to reset a Yealink:
- Press the Reset button on your phone as shown in the image below.
- Restart the phone by unplugging all cables, waiting 10 seconds, and then plugging them back in.
Language and Time Settings
Language Settings
As an administrator, you have the option to change the default language on the phone:
- Log in to the Admin portal.
- Click on Users.
- Select the user.
- Click on Other settings.
- Change the language under Applications.
Perform a reset by pressing the Reset button on the phone so it retrieves the new settings from us and the language is set correctly (see above).
Time Settings
Perform a reset by pressing the Reset button on the phone so it retrieves the new settings from us and the time is set correctly.
DeleteForwarding and Redirects
If you wish to set up forwarding or a voicemail on your phone, this should be done through the settings in your subscription with us, rather than on the landline phone.
Your subscription and its settings are connected to all your phones and extensions. On our FAQ article Profiles, you can read more about how to set up forwarding, redirects, voicemails, and call barring, etc.
Download the Telavox App
The Telavox app is not downloaded initially when you start using your hardware. To download the Telavox app, you, as the administrator, need to change the application language in the Admin portal for the user.
If the phone is provisioned in English, the hardware comes with the app pre-installed.
- Log in to the Admin portal.
- Click on Users.
- Select the user.
- Click on Other settings.
- Change the language under Applications.
Then perform a reset by pressing the Reset button on the phone so it retrieves the new settings from us and the app is downloaded automatically.

Password for the Phone's UI
