Due to a recent Yealink security update, older Yealink devices (manufactured before 2018) require a one-time security credential to complete auto-provisioning via the Redirection and Provisioning Service (RPS).
This is a one-time input for the first time the phone is provisioned.
1. If the Phone Prompts for the “Last 5 digits of SN”
Action: Locate the Serial Number (SN) label on the back of the device.
Input: Enter the last 5 digits of the SN when prompted.
2. If the Phone Prompts for “RPS PIN”
The RPS PIN can be retrieved from the Admin Portal.
Action: Login to the Admin Portal, go to the Hardware menu, select your device and press the ZTP Status button.
Input: Enter the ZTP PIN digits when prompted.
